ProductPlanner

ProductPlanner serves as a central module for the efficient planning and production of both print and ePaper editions.

This provides the planning department with all the information it needs for its daily work, such as comprehensive information on booked page-determining advertisements with placement requests, the scope of advertisements for layout, collectives and possible print variants. Users can access an extensive library of product samples to quickly and accurately create planning templates, while retaining the flexibility to adjust the scope and departmental distribution as needed. Planning can be carried out as far into the future as desired.

Direct integration with the NewsSuite, PrintLayout and Aptoma editorial systems, as well as automatic preparation and forwarding to pre-press and ePaper, ensure a seamless production chain. Thanks to standard interfaces, planned products can also be easily forwarded to control stations from EAE, MAN and ABB, and the PRIME format is also supported.

Thanks to centralised planning, ProductPlanner provides an optimal overview of all aspects of daily newspaper production.

Planners benefit from direct access to the required specifications for advertisements, collective items and the editorial team’s wishes for section content. Since planners are most familiar with the capabilities of the printing press, a suitable plan for both print and e-paper can be quickly created based on a library of product samples. This ensures that newspaper production can always be carried out reliably and quickly.
