The Neue Westf\u00e4lische, Lippische Landes-Zeitung, Haller Kreisblatt and Mindener Tageblatt have all opted for ePaper technology from alfamedia and its subsidiary fidion. With this decision, the East Westphalian publishers are investing in a comprehensive digitisation solution that is available both as a web ePaper and as an app.<\/p>\n

The contract was signed on 7 May 2025 during alfamedia’s customer day in Frankfurt am Main. The innovative solutions from alfamedia and fidion will be implemented in the coming months and are scheduled to go live on schedule in the fourth quarter of 2025.<\/p>\n

The main aim is to optimise existing processes and standardise the technical infrastructure. As the central service provider for newspaper publishers in East Westphalia, Media IT Partner has taken on a key role in coordinating and integrating the new ePaper solutions. “We are delighted about the successful collaboration with the East Westphalian publishers. Our aim is not only to offer them an innovative product, but also to ensure smooth implementation with our experienced team,” explains Michael Marcks, CEO of alfamedia.<\/p>\n

With the decision to replace their existing ePaper platforms, the publishers are focusing on providing their readers with a seamless reading experience and making content management more efficient. \u2018The new solution offers our publishers the opportunity to seamlessly integrate content and speed up the publication process. The comprehensive solution from alfamedia reduces the number of interfaces and thus potential sources of error,\u2019 emphasised Bernd A. M\u00fcller, Managing Director of Media IT Partner, and Axel Walker, Publishing Director at Neue Westf\u00e4lische.<\/p>\n

The official launch of the project is planned for June 2025. The publishers will receive a new, modern platform. This platform fits in with the publishers’ existing working methods. At the same time, it is designed in such a way that it can be easily expanded and improved in the future. This will enable publishers to respond quickly to new requirements.<\/p>\n
